The only way to get around is on foot or by bike. While it's not hard to find a " cidomo" (horse cart) ready to take you all over, I wouldn't recommend using them. Most animals are treated quite badly, and it's really sad seeing them carting tourists and stacks of heavy luggage around. It's best to travel light when visiting the Gili Islands.
